01 · Overview

E-commerce development in Puerto Rico lives or dies in the stretch between the product page and the payment screen. So we design that stretch first: variant selection, shipping costs shown early, trust signals and guest checkout. Then we build the rest of the store, on Shopify or WooCommerce, to bring people there.

Selling from the island has its particulars, and we sort them out before launch. We configure IVU sales tax for how and where you sell, set shipping rates within Puerto Rico and to the mainland United States, and look at the payment options your customers expect, including ATH Móvil, depending on what your platform supports. Analytics and event tracking go in from day one.

We work from San Juan with retailers across the island and remotely with brands in the mainland United States, the Caribbean and Europe. Scope and price are fixed, payments are staged, and a commerce build typically runs ten to twelve weeks. The store, the code and the data are yours, with thirty days of monitoring included after launch.

Most stores lose money between the product page and the payment screen. We design that stretch first — variant selection, shipping clarity, trust signals, guest checkout — then build the rest of the store to feed it. Analytics and event tracking are wired in from day one so you can see exactly where the leaks are.

02 Why it matters

An online store in Puerto Rico engineered to convert

01

Checkout comes first

We design variants, cart and payment before the homepage. Shipping costs appear when shoppers need them, guest checkout is on, and steps that add nothing are removed, because that is where most sales slip away.

02

Tax and shipping done right

We set up IVU, shipping zones and rates, local pickup if you offer it, and the messages that make delivery times clear. Customers know what they will pay before they ever reach the payment screen.

03

See where sales leak

Event tracking goes in with the first commit. Within a few weeks of launch you can see which step people abandon, which products get viewed but not bought, and where the next improvement is worth making.

04

The right platform

Shopify or WooCommerce, chosen for your catalogue, your team and your integrations, not our preference. We explain the reasoning in writing, and either way the store, the theme and the data stay in your name.

03 How we work

How we build your online store

  1. 01

    Scope and platform

We review your catalogue, shipping and payment methods, tax situation and the systems you already use. We choose Shopify or WooCommerce and give you the scope, schedule and a fixed price in writing.

  2. 02

    Designing the purchase path

We design the product page, cart and checkout first, and test the whole path on mobile. Collections, homepage and content pages are designed afterwards, to feed people into that path.

  3. 03

    Build and integrations

We hand-code the theme, load or migrate products, and configure payments, IVU, shipping, inventory and subscriptions where needed. Analytics is connected and we run test orders before the store opens.

  4. 04

    Launch and follow-through

We launch with training for your team and a written handbook. For thirty days we monitor orders, errors and the purchase funnel, then show you, with real data, where to improve first.

05 FAQ

What people ask about this service.

It depends on catalogue size, platform, integrations and whether products and customers need migrating. We do not sell packages: we hold a free scoping call, write a brief and send a fixed price. That is the number you pay, in staged payments tied to sign-offs rather than hours.

Shopify usually suits you if you want the platform to handle hosting, security and updates. WooCommerce fits better if you already run WordPress, want more control over your data or have unusual business logic. We decide together during scoping, with your catalogue and integrations on the table.

Yes. We configure IVU collection based on where and to whom you sell, along with the rules for orders shipped outside Puerto Rico. We work from the guidance your accountant or tax adviser gives you, since the tax obligation is yours; our job is making sure the store charges and reports what you agreed.

It is one of the questions we hear most. The answer depends on your platform and the integrations available at the time of the project, so we assess it during scoping and tell you plainly what is possible, what it involves and what the alternatives are. Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay are set up as part of checkout.

We set separate zones and rates for the island, the mainland United States and any other destinations you serve. Depending on your operation that means flat rates, carrier-calculated rates or free shipping above a threshold, with cost and estimated delivery time shown before payment so there are no surprises.
